Topical vs. oral corticosteroids
Severe acne
Oral isotretinoin
Rosacea
Mild: avoid triggers, topical antibiotics (metronidazole), topical retinoids
Moderate: oral antibiotics, topical retinoids
Severe: oral isotretinoin, laser treatments
Topical antibiotics: metronidazole is the treatment of choice, apply BID
Topical retinoids: Azelaic acid
New treatment: Brimonidine, ophthalmic option or ocular rosacea
Psoriasis
Limited: < 5% BSA
Moderate: 5-10% BSA
Severe: < 10% BSA
Treatment: sun, baths, emollients, salicylic acid 2%
