Trained in pathology; don´t commonly work directly with patients

Specifically trained to work with children who experience skin issues
Use equipment specifically designed for use in child patient cases
Immunodermatologist
Study how the skin and immune system react
Work mostly in laboratory settings

Specialize in a range of different tasks centered on aesthetics; most well known in the field
Perform various types of procedures on a range of different patients
patch test
Helps dermatologists find any triggers of allergic reactions. During the test, the dermatologist applies small amounts of suspected irritants or allergens on the patient’s skin to determine which are causing flares.
Skin Test
It is the same procedure that is done in a patch test, but rather than just putting the allergens on top of the skin, it is injected into the skin.
Tattoo removals
Performed by dermatologist surgeon and done with many techniques such as laser surgery, surgical excision, and dermabrasion. They are able to be done in a Doctor’s office or as an outpatient surgical procedure.
Punch Biopsy
A tubular punch (diameter usually 4 mm) is inserted into deep dermal or subcutaneous tissue to obtain a specimen, which is snipped off at its base
Botox injections
Usually performed in a doctor’s office. Your doctor uses a thin needle to inject tiny amounts of botulinum toxin into your skin or muscles. The number of injections needed depends on many factors, including the extent of the area being treated. Botox injections are usually done in a doctor’s office.
