facial erysipelas: assume it is MRSA
what is the treatment for human and animal bites?
Amox-clav 875 mg/125 mg BID x 10 days
[Doxycycline BID OR Septra DS BID]
PLUS
cover for anaerobes with flagyl or clinda
meningococcemia rash
abx for prophylaxis of close contacts?
rifampin x 2 days
7 days before onset, 24 hours after starting abx
