- Never stop caring
- Team work is very important in surviving
- Stress is part of the job, must be able to manage it

The use of technology
• virtual GP clinics
• wearable technology (diabetes and obs)
Real-time diagnostics
• mass spec of tumour during cancer surgery
Utilisation of genomics and CRISPR editing
What do you think the most important developments in medicine have been?
Antibiotics - surgery and common illness
Vaccination - prevention is best
Discovery of risk of smoking - increased health
Human Genome project - huge amounts of info treat/cure/prevent
Stem cells - grow organs, shortage of organs 450 deaths/year and cost
Anti-VEGF injections for AMD, senses, prevent loneliness/depression in 600,000

- Ensure patients are getting best care based on evidence
- Removed biased based on experience
- Gaps in research
- Patients in studies unlikely fully represent patient being treated
- Must be pre-equipped in emergency situations
