• Polypharmacy (>4 drugs) not new, but more complex
• May be necessary for aging population, but may be iatrogenic harm
• side effect of evidence based medicine

• overweight patients worse outcomes to rheumatoid arthritis treatment
- raise concerns whether to treat when it’s so ineffective, but may still cause side effects
- Whether patients on steroids should be on weight management plans
