Criteria for MDD
5 or more in 2 weeks
Must include loss of interest and depressed mood.

Disruptive Mood Dysregulation Disorder - Criteria
-Present for 12+ months
-Present in 2+ settings
-Ages 6-18
-Onset before age 10
-Temper outbursts
-Inconsistent with developmental level
-Occurs 3+ times per week
-Persistent irritable/angry mood most every day
Persistent Depressive Disorder - Criteria
Chronic depressed mood for at least 2 years (1 year for child or adolescent) Two ore more criteria to include:
-Poor appetite or overeating
-Insomnia or hypersomnia
-Low energy or fatigue
-Low self-esteem
-Poor concentration or problems with -making decisions
-Feelings of hopelessness
Premenstrual Dysphoric Disorder - Criteria
5 or more symptoms present in the final week before menstruation, improving with onset:
-Affective lability
-Irritability, anger or interpersonal conflicts
-Depressed mood, hopelessness or self-depreciating feelings
-Anxiety, tension, or on edge
PLUS: 1 or more:
-decreased interest
-concentration
-lethargy
-appetite
-sleep
-overwhelm
-physical symptoms
Bipolar 1 Disorder - criteria
elevated or irritable mood lasting at least 1 week. Must include 3:
-inflated self-esteem
-decreased need for sleep
-talkative or pressured speech
-flight of ideas
distractibility
-increase in goal-directed -activity/psychomotor agitation
- excessive involvement in pleasurable activities
