What are the behavioural characteristics of depression?
A
Decrease in activity levels (lethargic). Insomnia/hypersomnia, increase/decrease in appetite. aggression and self-harm.

A
Lowered mood, Anger, Lowered self-esteem.

What are the cognitive characteristics of depression?
A
Poor concentration, Pessimism, Absolutist thinking (when a situation is unfortunate it seems like a disaster.)

A
severe but often short-term depression.

long-term or recurring depression, including sustained major depression.
