What 2 types is depression divided into and what do they mean?
A
Unipolar- low mood
Bipolar- high mood, impulsive followed by a crash in low mod

What needs to happen in order to get a diagnosis of depression?
A
Sufferers are required to display at least 5 symptoms every day for at least 2 weeks
E.g. thinking/doing self harm
Thoughts of suicide/attempt
Sleeping too much/too little
Eating too much/too little
Lack of interest/ pleasure in things you would usually find exciting
