MDD is a mental disorder characterized by low mood, activity, and decreased interest as well as neurovegetative symptoms.
What are MDD’s neurovegetative symptoms?
Change in sleep, appetite, cognition and energy levels
What is needed in order to diagnose MDD?
At least 5 out of 9 symptoms present in the same 2-week period and represent a change in function. Additionally, there must be either depressed mood or loss of interest or function
