Fertility rate
The ratio of the live births and is expressed per 1000 per population per year
Mortality rate
The ratio of deaths expressed per 1000 per population per year
Birth rate
The ratio of total live births expressed as the number of live births per 1000 of the population per year
Infant mortality rate
The death rate during the first year of life
Population
The people inhabiting a specified area
Migration
The movement of persons from one country or locality to another
Census
A survey every ten years to gather information on the population to help with social planning
Burden of dependency
The working population has to pay more tax and national insurance to support those unable to work and provide the services they need
Replacement level
The number of births per woman required to replace the existing population
Dependency ratio
How many young people (under 16) and older (over 64) depend on people of working age (16 to 64)

Stereotyping against individuals because of their age
