Delirium is insult to the brain that leads to acute neuronal cell damage, usually caused by hypoxia and/or inflammation

Hypoactive - patient withdrawn, quiet, sleepy

Hyperactive - patient restless, agitated, aggressive

Mixed - mixture of the two
