MCA terminates by bifurcating into superior and inferior branches

Anterior communicating artery connects the left and right anterior cerebral arteries

Cortical branches supply the medial aspect of the frontal and paritel lobes
Sends branches to corpus callosum

MCA occlusion affects face and upper limbs
ACA occlusions affects lower leg and foot

Occipital lobe, inferior temporal lobe and thalamus

Thalamus via thalamoperforator and thalamogeniculate branches

Posterior communicating arteries connect the anterior and posterior circulations

Superior cerebellar artery supplies superior aspect of the cerebellum

Pontine arteries supply the pons and descending corticospinal fibres
