What is del leg?
A
This is law made by somebody other than parliament but with the same authority as parliament, the power is given through the parent/enabling act.

3 types of del leg
A
- Statutory interpretation, laws made by govt departments and their ministers because they are experts eg criminal evidence act.
- Orders in council, laws made by the queen/pm/privy council, used when parliament is not sitting or to transfer responsibility between departments eg terrorism order
- By laws, laws made by local authorities and public corporations, made for issues in local areas and for people who use public corps services eg nexus Tyne and Wear.
