Q

Describe the target volume for definitive RT for advanced stage laryngeal cancer

A
  1. Primary tumor with 8 mm to 1 cm CTV and involved nodes receive high dose 70 Gy
  2. Adjacent at-risk tissue, involved nodal levels, and 1 nodal level above and below involved nodal levels receive intermediate-risk subclinical dose (60-63 Gy)
  3. Uninvolved at -risk nodal levels receive low-risk subclinical dose, 50 Gy in 25 fx, 54 Gy in 30 fractions, or 57 Gy in 33 fractions (low dose)
