My Definition Of Attachment
A two-way, unique emotional relationship and long-enduring tie between two people e.g. a caregiver and an infant.
What does it mean to have multiple attachment?
Having more than one attachment figure.
What is a primary attachment figure?
The person who formed the closest relationship with a child.
What is the primary attachment figure shown by?
The intensity of the relationship.
Who is the primary attachment figure usually? But who can it be?
The biological mother.
But it an be anyone who fulfils the role.
What is separation anxiety?
The distress shown by a child when separated from their caregiver.
What is stranger anxiety?
The distress shown by the infant when approached or picked up by someone who is unfamilliar.
What des reciprocal mean?
Two-way.
What is intra-rater reliability?
The observer repeating the observing.
What is inter-rater reliability?
More than one observer.
What is interactional synchrony?
When two people interact they tend to mirror what the other is doing in terms of facial and body movements, including emotions as well as behaviours.
What is reciprocity?
Responding to the action of another with a similar action, where the actions of one partner elects a response from the other partner. The responses are not necessarily similar as in interactional synchrony.
