Deck 2 Flashcards
Principle of virus neutralization test
A highly specific test based on the neutralization of the virus by specific
antibodies in the serum tested. Positive serum contains Ab that
neutralize the virus and consequently, the virus cannot dmg the cells.
Division of cell cultures according to the way of cultivation:
(MCQ) Monolayers and suspension.
Which medium is used for cultivation of fungi?
(MCQ) Saburad agar
Which staining method is used for microscopic detection of
mycobacteria?
(MCQ) Ziehl Nielsen
What is main reagent of PCR?
Primers, enzyme (Taq DNA polymerase), DNA sample, dNTP.
Which is the gold standard test for laboratory diagnosis of rabies?
(MCQ) Fluorescent antibody test.
OIE is?
(MCQ)World health organization for animal health.
Stages of infectious process
Incubation, prodromal, manifestation, final period
What does the approach to one health mean?
Human health and animal health are interdependent and bound to the
health of the ecosystem in which they exist
Source of infection is.
(MCQ) Macroorganisms, in which etiological agent survives, multiples
and is excreted.
What is the principle of ELISA test:
Reaction between Ag and Ab.One of them is labeled with a suitable
enzyme. Resulting in enzyme activity of Ag+Ab complex.Using suitable
substrate.
Degraded by enzyme into coloured products (Chromogen).
What is the cytopathic effect in cell cultures:
(MCQ) Any changes of the cells after viral infection.
In complement fixation test positive result is:
(MCQ) No hemolysis
What are stages of infectious process:
Incubation , Prodromal, Manifestation, Remission
What are objects of study in epizootiology:
Study of diseases and how antibody and antigen work.
