1) general anchorages
There are no general anchorages on this chartlet
2) 2 explosive anchorages
In port Townsend. The foul weather explosive anchorage 1/4 mile SSW of walan Pt on Indian island. The fair weather explosive anchorage is 1nm SE of Pt. Hudson. Both has radius of approx 300yds
3) explosive anchorage regs
1- may not anchor longer then 30 days without COPT permission
2- explosive anchorages are reserved for vessels carrying explosives
3- COTP may require stand by tug for vessel w/o power
4- red flag by day and red light by night must be show.
5- no explosive handling without permission from COTP
6- competent watchmen or a tug must be in attendance
4) small craft anchorages
1- port Townsend: S of ferry terminal 8-10 fathoms w/ muddy bottom
2- admiralty bay: is used only occasionally as an anchorage as it is exposed to Sw winds, sand hard bottom and strong currents
3- foul weather bluff: provides temporary fog anchorage .5nm to the N in at least 60’ of water
4- port ludlow: affords food anchorage in 40-50ft, soft bottom and shores fairly steep
