Who is the ddo responsible to?
Diving Division Head via Repair Diving Officer and Repair MDV
DDO responsibility to poow
Oversee POOW:
- weekday turnover at 0830
- completion of night work
- perform monday turnover alongside POOW to verify equip status and watchstander proficiency
- provide assistance for emergencies, walkthroughs, expectations, pass down communication
Responsibility to emergent diving operations
- Coordinate emergent dive operations with dive team recall
- notify swrmc cdo and port ops
Responsibility to RDO
Update on the status of all diving ops and notify MDVs and Dive Officers
Responsibility for the buildings
In-depth tour of spaces with RDO or RMDV every thursday at 1430
Conduct at minimum 1 inpsection of bullding 3601 and 3602 during weekend/holiday hours
Responsibility for weather reports
Monitor weather for inclement weather (heavy rain, winds over 10 knots, small craft advisories)
POOW responsibility to DDO
Inform ddo of all emergencies
Notify ddo of watchstanding subsitutions
Hazmat spill
Secure the source if safe. Start clean up.
Shored based spills (9-911)
Waterborne spills (port ops)
What time do you close down the compound?
Lock up at 1800 mon-fri and report to ddo
Unlock at 0500 mon-fri
What pressure does the chamber need to be
Air 4300 psi
O2 150psi
