Headlight day/night as appropriate and marker light on the running line

What do you always make sure prior to a wrong direction movement?
-Authority from signaller
-You’re in the leading cab in direction of travel
What times are we permitted to use the horn?
-06.00 – 23.59
-In an emergency
When do you sound the horn?
-Someone is on or near the line
-Whistle board
-When you consider it necessary
If you are unable to control your train, what ways can you alert anyone?
-Using hazard lights
-Red lights
-Sounding the horn (long blasts on high tone)
-Telling the signaller immediately
Speed for examining the track?
20MPH
Speed for examining a tunnel?
10MPH
Speed for examining an overbridge?

If at a red signal or signalbox and a detonator explodes, what do you do?
-Stop
-Don’t proceed until authorised
What about any place other than a signal or signalbox and a detonator explodes, what do you do?
-Stop
-Proceed with caution towards the obstruction or signal/hand signal to get guidance
What do you if you see the line adjacent to yours is blocked?
-Contact signaller
-Hazard lights
-Sounding horn
-If unable to contact signaller drive your train 2KM to try to gain communication
