Ex- She stands a good chance of passing her exam if she works hard.

Ex- They bought that house because they took a fancy to it.

Ex- Take heart, help will arrive shortly and everything will be fine [মনে সাহস রাখো, দ্রুতই সাহায্য আসবে এবং সব ঠিক হয়ে যাবে]

Ex- In the past they’ve tended to turn a deaf ear to such requests.

নতুনভাবে বা উন্নততর জীবন শুরু করা/ দায়িত্বশীল হওয়া
Ex- Apparently he’s turned over a new leaf and he’s not smoking anymore.

Ex- He is an up-and-coming young lawyer [সে একজন উদীয়মান তরুণ উকিল]

Ex- He wants to compete at international level, but honestly I don’t think he’s up to it.
