DATA PROTECTION PRINIPLES

- Data is to be used lawfully, fairly and for the specific purpose it was collected.
- Used only for the stated purpose
- Used in a way that is adequate & not excessive.
- Must be accurate & current
- The data must not be kept for longer than it is required.
- Proceeded in line with the subjects necessary
- Data must be kept safe and secure
- The individual is legally obliged to receive a copy of the data held if requested.
