What are 4 ways to look after your safety when involved or dealing with a train conveying dangerous goods that has had an incident or Accident?
If a minor hazardous substance spill is detected and it is safe to do so what is the first response for dealing with this?
- Try and and contain the spill to an isolated area
- Check the vehicle for a spill kit, which will contain a substance to absorb the liquid product.
- Notify TC immediately to advise them of the situation.
- Ensure drains and water courses are protected from any runoff.
