what does a person with cystic fibrosis function like?
A
- produces very thick mucus in lung
- mucus slows down the exchnage of gasses in the lungs
- breeding ground for bacteria

what could cystic fibrosis cause?
A
lung infection therefore lung scarring

how could cystic fibrosis be treated?
A
using gene therapy, inhaling the genes for normal mucus into the lungs using an inhaler
has to be useed every few days as new cells produced will not contain that gene
