Diagnostic method of arrhythmia

A
  1. Check the patient’s PMR
  2. ECG (Electrocardiogram)
    - Exercise ECG:
    - 24-hour-Holter monitor measurement: patient wears a portable tape recorder connected to disks on patient’s chest that record the heart’s rhythm during daily activities
  3. Echocardiogram
    - non invasive: use ultrasound to identify the shape of the heart
  4. Coronary Angiography
    - procedure that uses a special dye (contrast material) and x-rays to see how blood flows through the arteries in your heart
  5. Thyroid function test (TFT)
    - Hyperthyroid: tachycardia
    - Hypothyroid: bradycardia
  6. Urea and Electrolytes test (UREs)
  7. Manual pulse palpitation
