  • Allows LCV-115B to remain OPEN on loss of power or IA.
  • Allows maintaining “hot standby condition” with a natural circulation cooldown during a postulated appendix R fire.
  • Sufficient volume to support Charging Pump operation for 8 hours

  • 45gpm from RCS for letdown
  • Charging pumps 24gpm to RCpumps, 30gpm to charging
  • 9gpm return from seals to VCT
  • 45 comes out, 45 goes in normally
