Nursing Considerations

A
  • establish aseptic field
  • inspect any signs of discolourations, discharge, swelling or bruising
  • check pt medical history and medication for ( clotting factor assessment, formation of hematoma)
  • ## patient needs to lay flat on their back because of the risk of air embolism.
