sunstroke/burn - sun so hot can’t think straight - going up to L side of head

Acute : Migraines that wax and wane with the sun, throbbing headache, L-sided headache, heatstroke, angina, HTN, vertigo, hot flashes

Constitutional : Confusion, feels lost in known locations, lassitude, irritability from slight opposition, sudden violence circulatory changes or surges

< sun, light, open fire

< heat around head, feeling head will explode, skull feels too small for brain, flushing

similar to lachesis - cannot handle constriction around neck

main shock remedy

Acute : any sudden acute condition with any element of fright: shock, exposure, sudden onset of intense illness (Bell), inflammation; trauma (arn), anxiety, fear of death (SRP : predicts the time of their fears death), panic attacks. Early stage of pneumonia, croup, measles, flu, MI, UTI with urine retention, hepatitis, conjunctivitis, acute arthritis.

Constitutional : Generally strong and healthy. Tends to low self esteem and need to prove themselves. Can be insensitive and mean. Desires company when well.

< cold, wants to be covered, wind, night
> fresh air, sweating

aconitum napellus (monkshood)
(compare to other shock remedies - arnica, cinchona, carbo veg)
(compare to the other restless remedies:
-aconite = high strength but have a fear of dying
-arsenicum = weakness with a fear of dying, alternate between anxiety and exhaustion
-rhus tox= agitated but movement relieves their pain)
(opposite to belladonna: who has red and sweaty skin)
(compare to chamomile: one cheek red/pale)

fever / URTI - suppressed!

Acute : L-sided complaints, purple red sore throat or abscesses, CNS sx, circulatory complaints (varicose veins, migraines), eczema, dysmenorrhea

Constitutional : L-sided, can’t stand constraint, loquacious, jealous, suspicious, repressed anger, aggressive, extroverted, ‘lashes out’ paranoid, suffocating

< heat, sun , touch, upon waking
> anger, flow

Gen : fears snakes, any flow, esp menses, brights relief; thin dark offensive pus

Grief
Acute : heart conditions, bone pains, grief, depression w suicidal ideation

Constitutional : Serious, intimidating, hopelessness, angry, fears failure but often successful, perfectionist, suicidal ideation, grief if they feel they have failed; ailments after financial losses, heart ailments such as angina and palpitations. Hear, bone, head, testicular pains worse at night to the point the pt may hint at suicide d/t pain; tendency to alcoholism, syphilitic remedy

< cold, winter
> evening but pain < night

(compare to nat mur - weeps when listening to music, depression, but not as dark)
(compare to psorinum - depression with suicidal thoughts)

glandular - big glands and organs, little maturity

Acute : Any condition with enlarged glands or organ

Constitutional : Mental, emotional, physical immature. Children with developmental delay. Mental weakness and childish behavior. Depended on caregivers. Frequent colds and enlarged lymph nodes. Hx of cerebral vascular accident. High blood pressure and palpitations.

< mental exertion, thinking of sxs, lying on painful side
> walking in open air

Immaturity or atrophy of body, mental immaturity with strong dependence on others. Tend toward chilly. Desire sweets.

Acute : sudden onset of high fever with few other sxs, URTI/influenza, anemia, hemorrhage, teething (Cham, Calc, Puls)

Constitutional : Generally bright and east to talk to, flushes easily. When ill can be irritable, nervous, sensitive, anemic, pale extremities from varicose veins that redden easily
