Cutaneous Nerves Flashcards
Posterior Cutaneous Nerve of Arm
C5-C8
Branch of radial nerve that supplies skin on post. surface of arm
Supraclavicular Nerves
C3, C4
Pass ant. to clavicle, deep to platysma, supply skin over clavicle and superolat. aspect of pec. major
Posterior Cutaneous of Forearm
C5-C8
branch of radial nerve, supplies skin on the post. surface of forearm
Superior Lateral Cutaneous Nerve of Arm
C5,C6
Terminal branch of axillary nerve, emerges from beneath the post. margin of deltoid to supply skin over the lower part of muscle and on lateral side of midarm
Inferior Lateral Cutaneous Nerve of Arm
C5, C6
Branch of radial nerve, supplies skin over inferolateral aspect of arm; branch of post. cutaneous nerve of forearm
Lateral Cutaneous Nerve of Forearm
C6,C7
Terminal branch of musculocutaneous nerve, supplies skin on lateral side of forearm
Medial Cutaneous Nerve of Arm
C8-T2
arises from medial cord of brachial plexus, often uniting with lateral cutaneous branch of 2nd intercostal nerve. supplies skin on medial side of arm
Intercostobrachial Nerve
T2
Lateral cutaneous branch of the 2nd intercostal nerve, also contributes to innervation of skin on medial side of arm
Medial Cutaneous Nerve of Forearm
C8, T1
arises from medial cord of brachial plexus, and supplies skin on anterior and medial surface of forearm
