Clinical features of tuberous sclerosis
Angiofibromas, ashleaf macules, shagreen patch, Ungal fibromas
What are angiofibromas
Dome-shaped, firm papules in a butterfly distribution across the face
What are ashleaf macules
Oval patches of white/hypopigmented skin
What are shagreen patches
Leathery plaques on the sacrum that is dimpled like orange peel
What are ungal fibromas
Smooth, fleshy tumours that grow from the nail folds either around the nail or under the nail
Features of Type 1 Neurofibromatosis
Cafe-au-lait spots, axillary or inguinal freckling and neurofibromas (small nodular tumours in skin)
Clinical features of Porphyria cutanea tarda
Photosensitivity which often affects dorsum of hands, causing blister/bullae formation which easily rupture to form erosions. Also hyperpigmentation and hypertrichosis
Clinical features of systemic sclerosis
Raynaulds, sclerodactyly, scleroderma affecting face and hands, telangiectasia
Clinical features of SLE
Photosensitivity (malar rash), discoid rash, mouth/nose/genital ulcers, hair loss, cutaneous vasculitis
