Currency requirements

What are the requirements to remain current as a CPL?

Answer 1

a. within preceding 24 months the pilot must have done a flight review given in an aircraft that you’re legal to fly

b. to carry pax, must within preceding 90 days
- 3 TO/L. as sole manipulator in same category class type rating
- if tailwheel, must be full stop
- if 1 hour after sunset and 1 hour before sunrise, must do 3 TO/L to full stop during those times in appropriate aircraft

is a CPL required to log all flight time?

You must log the training and experience used to meet the requirements for your certificate, rating, or flight review. As well as recency requirements under 61

Minimum requirements in logbook for each entry

Answer 3

general - date, flight time, location of departure/arrival, or if a SIM, where it occurred

type of pilot experience or training - solo, PIC, SIC, flight/ground training, SIM,

conditions of flight - day/night, actual instrument, simulated instrument, SIM

As a CPL you obtain a job flying cargo at night. Does night currency count towards currency to carry pax during day?

Yes, provided that the landings at night were accomplished in preceding 90 days, and appropriate airplane that you flying during day
