pt is passive, pampered, and not to make decisions
large personal space btw members of opposite sex outside of family, touch common btw same sex

Asians
illness belief is imbalance of yin and yang
pt is passive, family is expected to care for pt
large personal space; uncomfortable w/ touch
present time oriented; past is important and valued
East Indian
illness belief is karma
Hispanic
illness belief is holistic understanding of emotional, spiritual, social and physical factors
seen as crisis for whole family
close personal space; lots of touching and embracing, group oriented
present time oriented
