What did the USA do during the Bay of Pigs in April 1961?
A
They coup to overthrow Castro so they send 2000 exilies to make it seem like a revolt against Castro.

What was Castro’s response to the USA’s attack in the Bay of Pigs?
A
Castro already knew about the attack and the inital planes missed most of their targets so JFK cancelled the second air strike.
2000 exlies faced 20,000 of Castro’s troops. 500 killed, 1500 captured. JFK had to pay $53 Million to get them released.
