Discuss the different demands different stakeholders have from business
- consumer: good quality product for quality price
- supplier: prompt payment
- competition: not to sell counterfeit goods
- employee: salary/wage
- gov: collects tax
- economy: resources conservation
What is sustainability
Operating in a way that will not hamper the development for future generations
-teaching beneficiaries to become more self sufficient by teaching life king skills
Discuss reasons for and against CSR
For:
- helps avoid problems in economy that could affect business in the future
- good publicity
- SRI unit increases (shares)
Against:
- already involved in community by providing goods and services
- could side track business from main operation
Discuss the responsibilities of individuals vs corporate
Individuals
- EAP (be economically active )
- volunteers/donated
Corporate
- donations
- encourage employees to get involved

CSR contributions towards constitutional rights
- gov can’t provide all basic needs alone, helping hand needed from businesses
- gov should bad active uncivil rights, corporate can’t help
- corporate acts as problem solvers
