What is the purpose of crystallization?
A
To remove water from a solution containing ionic compound[salt]. This is done because, water has a lower boiling point than the salt.

A
Evaporating dish, filter paper[to completely dry the samples]

We heat the solution till the point of crystallization

How do we obtain larger crystals from this experiment?
A
To obtain larger crystals, a little water can be evaporated and then the solution left to cool and evaporate at room temperature. The crystals are then dried between filter papers.
