A
Conducting the same procedure in more than one culture to see how they compare

What does cross-cultural research let us see?
A
If behaviour is universal (nature) or due to environmental factors (nurture)

Why do we do cross-cultural research?
A
Better appreciation of the impact of culture on behaviour e.g. different child rearing styles coming from different cultural practices
Reduces ethnocentric bias in research - bringing in other cultural views (reduces one sided views of behaviour)
Suggests more suitable tools to measure a behaviour
Conducting research in other countries ensures better generalisability of findings/theory
