Pilgrimage of Grace- uprising against dissolution of monasteries - council begin taking a more prominent role in dealing with this. Robert Aske wanted to restore dissolved monasteries.

Act of Precedence- which order people would sit in parliament. 10/11 were noblement therefore couldnt have been Cromwell’s creation.
2nd Act of Dissolution - legalised crown’s possession of monasteries
9000 monks/ nuns forced out of their livings because monasteries needed to be closed for religious reasons e.g. praying for dead but also financially motivated.
