Critical Thinking
Not looking at things in one dimension, rather look at all the facts as a whole of who, what, when, where and why
Paradigm
The way we look at the world and our beliefs and understandings about the world
Social Construction/vism
We give meaning to experiences and objects in our social worlds. (Girls play with dolls while boys play with cars)
Sociological Imagination
Acknowledging the relationship between our lives as individuals, and the forces that shape us. i.e. acting one way in your household and acting differently when with friends.
Paradigm Shift
Changing the way someone sees or views the world. Essentially changing their outlook and fundamental beliefs.
Structure
Social factors that constrain our freedom to choose and act; limit our choices in the first place.
Agency
Freedom and will to choose and act
Agent
An individual with the freedom to choose and act
