The quality of being genuine or unique. Refers to things that are one of a kind and original rather than copied.
Brand
The name, trademark, and trade dress of a company and/or product through which identity is established.
Commodification
Originally a term from Marxism–the process of material objects being turned into marketable goods with monetary exchange value.
Copyright
A copyright is a type of intellectual property that gives its owner the exclusive legal right to copy, distribute, adapt, display, and perform a creative work, usually for a limited time.
Fair Use Doctrine
Fair Use Doctrine – or Fair dealing in Canadian copyright law – deems that research, private study, education, parody, satire, criticism, review, and news reporting, are NOT considered copyright infringement.
