Cardiac Resuscitation

A
  1. BLS basics - danger etc
  2. Chest Compressions (Good Quality)
    - Presumed cardiac arrest if unresponsive and not breathing
    - Good Quality
    - 30:2
    - ~100/min
  3. Early Defibrillation/Rhythm Check
    # Shockable - VT, VF
    - Shock
    - 1mg of Adrenalin after 2nd shock
    - 300mg of Amioderone after 3rd shock
    # Non-shockable - PEA, Asystole
    - 1mg of IV adrenalin if non-shockable
    - 1mg of IV adrenalin every 2nd loop
  4. Consider Airway
    - End tidal CO2 confirms placement
  5. Treat Reversible Causes
