A

Project goals, objectives, and deliverables are refined and broken down into manageable units of work.

Generally lead to the creation of plans or documents that are used throughout the project to ensure that goals of the project are being met.

What is the difference between Charter vs. Scope statement?

A

Scope:

  • Define all components that make up the product or service of the project and the results the project intends to produce.
  • defines parameters of project; helps stakeholders define if a project is complete

Charter

  • authorizes PM (via Sponsor) to use defined resources
  • Should contain the rationale for the project, the reasons for its existence, who initiated it, and why.
