- Judges sit alone
- There are four divisions: criminal, family, small claims and traffic and by-law.

-The highest court in the province
-Judges may sit alone or with jurors
-Deals with civil cases over 35,000 , serious criminal cases and divorce and custody

-At least 3 judges, sometimes 5
-Hears civil and criminal cases appealed from the other courts

-Can appeal any type of dispute
-Judgements here are final
-3,7 or 9 judges

-Deals with civil matters involving disputes by individuals or groups with the federal government
-maritime law, customs. income tax, patents, etc.
