Involve violations of the law that are punishable by fines or imprisonment

Plaintiff : The government
Remedy : High stakes (fine, imprisonment, ect.)

What is a civil case?
Involve disputes between individuals or groups over matters of responsibility or rights

Plaintiff : Private city or group
Remedy : Monetary damages
Standard of proof : Preponderance of evidence[52%]
