what is the hoof mechanism all about?

A

when the horses heel in on the ground so when the horse is weight bearing the heel expands. when the horse lifts the hoof off the ground the heel contracts. the contraction is suppose to help with the circulation back to the heart.

the shoe fairer put the nail in improperly and the nail becomes bent. After a day the horse becomes lame. The horse doesnt react to the nail at first so you dont know. the horse ends up getting pressure on senstive laminae. ….sad days for the horse :(
