When the hearts blood supply is stopped/blocked by a build up of fatty substances/deposits/atheroma, in the coronary arteries

Medical intervention
Antiplatelet - reduce risk of heart attacks, include a low dose of aspirin
High cholesterol - statins
High blood pressure and angina - beta blockers
Nitrates to widen blood vessels
Ace inhibitors to treat high blood pressure
