What is the pill

A

The implant- releases a continuous amount of progesterone and is stuck under the skin of the arm. stops sperm from reaching the egg which makes it hard for the ovaries to release eggs and stops the fertilization of eggs. Lasts three years
injection- contains progesterone. Lasts 2 to 3 months
IUD- inserted into the uterus to kill sperm and stop the fertilizing of the egg.

A

diaphragm- a shallow plastic cup that fits over the cervix
spermicide- not as effective but still a form of contraception.

Sterilization- cutting and tying the fallopian tubes in a woman or tying the tube between the testes and penis in a male. This is permanent although there is a slight chance of them rejoining
Natural- avoiding sexual intercourse on days when you are more fertile
