Controller Commands Flashcards
In a controller command, the ? ? provide information about which controllers to change.
Data bytes.
Controllers can be ? or ? For the first, data byte 2 can be any value from ?-? For the second, 0-64 will switch the controller off and 65-127 will switch the controller on.
Continuous.
Switched.
0-127.
Some ? take a value of 0 to mean off and 1-127 to mean on.
DAWs.
EG: Status byte, 1011 0000, control change channel 1, data byte 1, 01000000, controller number (64 - ?), data byte 2, 01111111, value (127 - ?).
Sustain.
On.
EG: Controller number 1, modulation, ?
Continuous.
The note end information is send via “? ?” messages.
Note off.
Most common location for working and editing MIDI data is the ? ? view. Pitch is located on the ?-? and time’s represented on the ?-?
Piano Roll.
Y-axis.
X-axis.
? ? will contain common note values, key sigs, accidentals, tempo and dynamic markings.
Score editor.
