Higher estrogen dose, higher clotting risk
Drospirenone-containing birth control pills may be ass with a higher risk for blood clots than other progestin-containing pills
Ortho Evra patch: higher systemic estrogen exposure than most COC pills

Check potassium level
Safe range = 3.5-5 mEq/L
