• Elections happen at different times
• 6 Year term

• Try impeachment cases
• Ratify treaties - ⅔ must approve

The house of representatives:

• Initiate money bills
• Bring cases of impeachment - 1998 Clinton Obs Justice, Perjury
• Elect pres if EC Deadlocked - happened twice
