Similarities - Lobbying members of the legislature and executive possible, free media means Ads or stunts can gain attention
Differences - Court cases brought by groups in the US, supported instead in the UK - Liberty, Size of US makes mass protests more complex

  • As the SC is quasi sovereign in US, Legal action is more powerful than UK.

Means of Influence - Similarities and Differences

A

Similarities - Groups in both give evidence to legislature, use courts to influence government (Gina Miller), benefit from more members/funding
Differences - Judicial rulings can be ignored by gov in the UK, more access points in the US than UK
