What is internalisation?
When a person accepts the majority wide as correct resulting in a internal and external change in behaviour permanently
What is identification
When we cahnge our behaviour temporarily to fit in with a group even if we do not agree with them
What is compliance?
We go along to fit in even though we do not agree
What is ISI?
Informational social influence is when we believe the majority opinion because we want to be liked and fit in
What is NSI
Normative social influence is when we follow the majority because we are unsure of what is right

He asked students to give answers to maths problemßbith easy and difficult
What did Lucas at Al find when investigating ISI?
The harder the maths question the greater the degree of confromity especially in those who rated their maths ability as poor
Why does NSI not effect everybody is the same way
