What does a class P material repair entail?
- Includes repairs by 3rd or 4th level maintenance organizations
- Sent off station if depth repair required is beyond that authorized to be undertaken by user’s supporting 2nd level maintenance
What does a class L repair entail?
- Limited to forward support maintenance organisations
- Scrapped if the depth of repair required is beyond that authorized by forward support
What does a class C repair entail?
- No repair policy is required
- No requirement for the item to be assessed by an authorized conditioner when U/S
- When the item is issued for use, no further accounting action is necessary
When should items be conditioned?
- Prior to transfer between maintenance organisations
- Before movement within the same maintenance organisation from one work location to another
- When subject to cannibalisation
- Return to supply for whatever reason
What are the conditioning terms?
R2 - Equipment routed for repair at MOB
R3 - Equipment routed to designated repair specialist
R4 - Equipment routed for external repair by a contractor
T3 - Equipment routed for maintenance at Depth support 3rd level
T4 - Equipment routed for maintenance at depth support 4th level
What are the 3 forms used for conditioning labels?
- MOD Form 731 (Equipment conditioning label)
- RAF Form 3910 (C class store repacked and returned serviceable)
- RAF Form 3910C (Scrap Label)
When a piece of equipment is to be moved to a different station what should you do?
Attach a F731 and annotate ‘Prepared for movement of station’
What should you ensure is done before moving vehicles or equipment across international borders?
Cleaning, disinfection, quarantine and fumigation
